Residential Cabinet Refinishing

For those homeowners who are looking to rejuvenate their kitchens on a tighter budget without sacrificing quality, we have the perfect service for you!  Cabinets are one of the biggest features of any homeowner's kitchen and their design is critical to the overall appearance of your home. This is a must to know if you are putting your home on the market. MPA Painters will refinish your existing cabinets to look like new.  We do more than just walls!  We refinish wood surfaces and and kitchen cabinets with ease.  And the best part is that you won't have to go without kitchen cabinets while the cabinet is refaced.  Our process leaves the cabinet frame on the wall while the surface of the cabinet is refinished on site. Cabinet replacement is expensive, time consuming, and requires additional contractors, so refinishing is a greater value.

Cabinet refinishing is a must if you are reselling or renovating your home. Whatever finish or color you need for your kitchen or bathroom cabinets is what we'll deliver.

This service does not include stripping existing finishes, but rather recoating existing finishes. Cabinets must be in manageable condition, will not work on old, rotted cabinets. We use Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer and Pro Industrial water-based alkyd urethane. We follow common paint practices, which include being mindful of the environment and existing conditions (hardwood floors, granite countertops etc).

Let the paint cure for 7-10 days after the procedure. Do not wash, wipe or clean.

We remove and degrease cabinet door hardware to protect it, we break down the bond of the gloss, regardless of choosing to paint or to stain. This ensures a good coat. We scuff sand the existing surface with a 100 grit sanding block, no machine sanding for the best care.

This improves the adhesion process and allows for better acceptance of the finished coats, opening up the pores.

We clean all dust everywhere with moist towels on cabinets to clean. Be careful to not JUST move the dust around, but diligently remove and clean the dust using multiple clean rags.

Available in eggshell, semi-gloss, and gloss.
